I attended the State of the City event at the beautiful Crowne Plaza hotel in Kearney Friday morning hosted by Leadership Kearney. Kearney Mayor Stan Clouse presented on the progress of the City of Kearney this past year. Kearney thrived in 2021 and things will not be slowing down in 2022.

One specific project that Mayor Clouse spoke about was the Compute North development at Tech oNE Crossing next to Kearney's 11-acre solar farm. Compute North is building a new building which will also be built to accommodate additional office space, equipment storage, and on-site equipment maintenance and repair. They have also increased their computing power to 90 megawatts. That's a lot of power! What a revenue stream for the community. How did Kearney land Compute North? Low cost and reliable power from NPPD.
Thanks to Leadership Kearney for hosting a great and informative event.
