Campaign Kickoff Fundraiser

Updated: 2 days ago

Because I do not have to race to the primary election I have intentionally waited to begin my campaign until after May 10th. So I am reaching out to invite you to my Campaign Kickoff Fundraiser on Tuesday, May 24th from 5:30 to 6:30 pm at Cunninghams on the Lake. Cunningham’s is graciously hosting my event in the Loper Room (south end of Cunningham's) and providing a beverage and some light appetizers for my guests.

Economic and business growth is something I am passionate about and I know payroll and energy costs are two of the top expenses for every business in this critical time in our state. Using that knowledge of business drives me to keep energy costs affordable for businesses, families, seniors, and agriculture producers. I am confident that my perspective and knowledge will be helpful by representing the majority of Nebraskan's values and viewpoints on the NPPD Board. You can learn more about my campaign here.

To have this be a successful campaign, it will take a strong and organized grassroots organization with signs, brochures, radio ads, etc. I am encouraged by the support I have already received but still need help reaching my campaign fundraising goal of $20,000. I encourage you to come hear why this election is vital to the future of Buffalo County and Nebraska.

If you are unable to make the Campaign Kickoff Event on May 24th, you can listen to my radio interview here to know where I stand and if you believe in keeping our power affordable and reliable, would you be willing to make a contribution to my campaign? A gift of any amount would mean the world to me but we are looking for a total of 100 supporters to contribute $200 each to meet our goal.

To donate, simply click the link to my campaign page below or send a check to “Derek Rusher for NPPD” to 2007 W 34th St. Kearney, NE 68845

I would also appreciate it if you could share my campaign page on social media or forward this email so we can have the appropriate representation on the NPPD Board of Directors. The more exposure I get, the faster I will reach my campaign fundraising goal and the support that is needed to protect Nebraskan’s power.

I hope you can make it to Cunningham’s on the Lake from 5:30 to 6:30 pm on Tuesday, May 24th. I am eager to talk about my campaign and why this Board is critical to the future of Buffalo County and Nebraska.

Best regards,

Derek Rusher
